About the Founder

Michael had a vision: to make buildings in which people work, learn, and live safer.

Seeing a void in the market for an efficient, cost-effective, and technology-based system that would increase the efficiency of visitors admission, enhance security, and provide significant flexibility and reporting, he created one.

As president of Astornet Technologies, Inc., a technology company he founded 1999, Michael and his team of technology and security experts developed and patented ExpressAdmission in 2004.

Michael earned his MBA from the University of Maryland, a Masters of Science in Computer Engineering from The University of Cincinnati, and his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Universite Catholique De Louvain in Belgium.

The company is based in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
